Temple has a Conical Lingam - the assemblies of pilgrims and visitors. The temple is more than 1000 year old. Behind the Kedarnath temple lies the samdhi of final resting place of Adi Guru Shankaracharya. It is belived that after establishing the four dham in India he went for his Samadhi at an early age of 32 years.

After darshan and pooja proceed to gaurikund. Lunch in Gaurikund. Drive to Rudraprayag. Overnight stay at hotle Rudraprayag:- named after lord shiva is situated at he confluence of river Mandakini originating from kedarnath Dham and river Alaknanda from Bhadrinath Dham a beautiful sight to behold.
